Summit Pup Gear was created from something deeply personal.

My name is Garrett Carter, U.S. Army veteran, dog owner, and someone who learned firsthand how much a dog can shape a life.

In 2022, I lost my dog Snow — a purebred Siberian Husky who was more than a companion. She was a trail partner, a constant presence, and the kind of dog who reminded you to keep moving, even on the hard days. Losing her left a space nothing else could fill.

But Snow left me something priceless.

Her son, a mixed-breed boy named Puppy, is still by my side today. He carries her spirit — the love of adventure, the drive to explore, and the steady loyalty that turns a dog from a pet into family. Every morning walk, every mountain trail, every bit of gear I use on him reminds me of why dogs deserve the very best we can give them.

That belief is what built Summit Pup Gear.

I founded this brand for people like me — dog owners who see their dogs as partners, not accessories. Summit Pup Gear is inspired by the Blue Ridge Mountains I call home and shaped by the countless hours spent outdoors with Snow and Puppy. Every product is selected and designed for durability, comfort, and real adventure. Nothing flimsy, nothing flashy, nothing that looks good online but fails in real life.

Snow did that for me. Puppy continues to.
